On December 26, 2004 a deadly
tsunami struck the shores of
Thailand becoming the worst
natural disaster its people had
ever seen.
As a man who deeply believes in
providing service to those in need,
Dr. Paul Wallace offered his services
to the relief efforts by assistingthe
forensics authorities of Thailand as
well as other American colleagues
by identifying the remains of those
whose lives were lost in the storm.
Dr. Wallaces' medical training, as
well as his experience with facial
trauma as a WBC ringside physician
helped to facilitate the arduous
process of digitally reconstructing
the faces of the missing. Although
emotionally and physically daunting,
the effort provided much needed
comfort to those who survived. In
addition to the compelling photos
below, here is a link to a CNN.com
article featuring Dr. Wallace and his
work in Thailand.
